Hope to come again next year!" "Great Keppel Island Holiday Village is the best place to stay. We stayed in the tents. They were very comfortable and a nice feel. The water sports were great with snorkelling, kayaking, wake boarding, tube riding and sailing. If you bring some fishing rods a meal is guaranteed off the beach. The communal kitchen and eating is a great place to meet people from all over the world. Bring plenty of food as there are big fridges and freezers, great kitchen and BBQ to have some great cook ups. I have written to the guide to update their description of the island to say that it has become a little paradise – very quiet and relaxing and that you (Geoff) are dedicated to people who come on vacation to make sure that everybody has the best time on the island. Great Keppel Island is one of my best memories while travelling in Australia and it is a shame that so many people miss it! "As proud parents of a one and an eight year old, we were a little dubious as to how much we would be able to do with the children on the island – and I must say we all had the time of our lives – walked the beach every morning, snorkelled, hunted for shells, watched the sunsets every night and loved playing trucks and ball games in our wonderful playground we made in the front yard off the verandah. We were shown nothing but the best in hospitality and friendliness for the entire duration of our stay. Ever so grateful for a holiday we will never forget. |
